Excuse Me,
What’s MacWorld?
(Scusi, Cose’e’ MacWorld?)

"Scusi, cos'e' MacWorld?" an Italian teenager asked while I
was reading an article in MacWorld magazine about the newest and hottest
Powerbook G4 Titanium.
I wondered: what to begin with? The flight from Rome to London was only
two and a half hours, barely enough to get started.
After discovering that indeed, Silvia, the teenager, was very well acquainted
with the fancy "Flower Power iMac," - her 16th birthday super
cool gift - I introduced her to the ultimate "dream-come-true"
Apple conference + expo event of the year: MacWorld. The place where all
the die-hard Macintosh fans and the most recently enthused "Switchers"
from all over the world get together to be the first one to hear, see
and touch the newest and hottest Apple creations in the high tech world.
And listening to all of the above at the keynote, from the voice of Steve
Jobs, Apple’s CEO, it is not only inspiring, but the best way to
educate yourself on the entire Apple world.
When I joined Apple in 1999, my experience at MacWorld had been that of
exploring an enlightened path to the most fun, ease of use and highly
professional Mac-based hardware and software tools for multimedia creations
and much more.
At the end of each show, I always had the burning desire to share with
the rest of world the beauty of this incredible fusion between art and
technology, which Apple has been mastering for over 30 years.
My dream became reality
by starting a Mac-based multimedia company, 1000 Hearts, eager to spread
the word about the infinite possibilities of creating any form of art
on a Mac platform.
Please stay tuned
for more information regarding the upcoming keynotes, conferences and
many seminars throughout the week.
MacWorld will open at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco,
California, January 6 through 10, 2003. www.macworld.com
